History of Calvary Chapel Lake Cities
In the Spring of 2004, God graciously and mercifully began a new work in Flower Mound,Texas to reach the lost and equip the saints. One thing we desire is for all to behold the beauty of the Lord through the ministry of Calvary Lake Cities. Our prayer for the church is found in Ephesians 3:14-21 by the apostle Paul;
14) For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15) from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16) that He would grant you , according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love, 18) may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height 19) to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all thefullnessof God. 20) Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask of think, according to thepowerthat works in us. 21) to Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus toall generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Calvary Chapel History
Calvary Chapel began in 1965 as a non-denominational church to minister to a lost generation of young people. Chuck Smith, the Pastor of Calvary Chapel, understood the importance of teaching through the Bible, declaring the whole counsel of God. Since 1965, God has blessed Calvary Chapel with hundreds of churches planted all across the United States , and throughout the world.
After serving for five years as an Assistant Pastor in Orange County California, Pastor Jon Bell felt the call of God to start a Calvary Chapel in Flower Mound, Texas . Desiring to see people grow in there faith, Pastor Jon realizes the necessity of teaching through the Bible, declaring the whole counsel of God (Rom. 10:17 ).
In May of 2004 Pastor Jon and his wife Che' left Orange County with their three children Alex, Tyler, and Zach. Arriving to Flower Mound two days later they began services in their living room the first Sunday of May. Two months later the church moved into Blue Ribbon Preschool. A midweek service was soon added. In August of 2006 the church then moved from the Preschool to the cafeteria inside Marcus High School. In June of 2007 the church moved from the cafeteria the school auditorium where it currently meets.
With a burden for the lost, and the desire to see Christians encouraged in their faith, the vision of Calvary Lake Cities is for people to know the truth (John 8:32), to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2nd Peter 3:18), and to encourage Christians to go into all the world sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19).
